The 2005 Nebula Awards ® ceremony was notable for a number of things: it was the 40th anniversary of the founding of the organization, it featured the ever-popular Neil Gaiman as Toastmaster, and Anne McCaffrey was awarded the Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award. It was also a rolicking good time.
Kevin O'Donnell's speech about the three simple ways that writers can protect themselves and each other for less time per day than most writers spend thinking about their next sentence should be posted above the monitors of every writer in the trade.
Neil Gaiman's witty (as always) and touching tribute to the SF writing community.
